SOCIAL WORK ASSISTANT
Lynn Applegarth has worked directly with children and families for 30 years, both within a supportive role, undertaking parenting assessments and working individually with children.
She has a wealth of experience and knowledge in respect of child development evidenced in the quality of her assessment work and the positive relationships she is able to develop with children, often struggling to manage challenging transitions in their lives.
Lynn has been at the forefront of developing high quality life story books for children who have been adopted and fully appreciates the importance children knowing and understanding about their family and history. She has worked exclusively within a local authority adoption service for the past 4 years, supporting adopter training, undertaking life-story work directly with children and coordinating the production of high quality life story books, accessible to children in understanding the narrative of their life journey.
Lynn is excited about the new opportunity presented by joining ARC Adoption North East and influencing the development of the service from a child focussed perspective.
