Who is this therapy programme for: ARC adopters who have children placed (and related grandparents / guardians / carers)

We are very excited to share that one of our adoptive parents, Kirstie from Through the Trees CIC, is running a FREE Integrative Forest Therapy Programme, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

The Forest Therapy sessions will take place in a beautiful woodland location within the North East, and provide an opportunity for ARC Adoption parents (and other related carers) to pause, reset and reduce symptoms of stress, through connection to nature.

As an adoptive parent herself, Kirstie knows that caring for a child with developmental trauma and complex needs can be challenging and stressful, so if you feel in need of a recharge and being outdoors in nature is something that you enjoy, this might be a perfect opportunity for you.

Please note the following:

  • This is a 6 week programme, with a session taking place each Friday 10.00am - 12.30pm
  • These sessions are for adults only (those who are parents or carers to ARC children)
  • The woodland location will be determined once the location of interested participants is known
  • Spaces are limited to 10 people
  • More information is available in this flyer
