When children are adopted into their new family our main aim is for them to be healthy and safe but we also want them to know that they can get help if they have any questions or worries. We know that being an adopted child may not always be easy and there might be things that they don’t understand or that they would like help with.
ARC Adoption North East provide, to all children placed with their families, a ‘children’s guide’ pack which helps to explain their adoption journey in a child friendly way. This includes a colour illustrated story book and leaflets on life story work, the adoption process and guidance on where they can seek help and advice.
