News & events ARC Adoption places 200th child with forever family. Covid restrictions haven’t stopped voluntary adoption agency ARC Adoption North East from doing what they do best, finding loving homes for those children waiting to be adopted, as the team places their 200th child with their forever family. ARC Adoption North East which recruits, assesses and approves adopters remains open and the team have continued to work tirelessly throughout the pandemic to find safe, nurturing and loving families for children throughout the North East and the UK. Having successfully progressed through the adoption process during the pandemic, the child’s adoptive parents spoke about their joy of becoming parents. “We adopted our five-year-old little girl via ARC Adoption. We have been so well supported throughout the process and continue to have that same level of support post-adoption. We feel blessed to have found our perfect match thanks to ARC Adoption.” Terry Fitzpatrick, director at ARC Adoption North East, reflects on such a momentous achievement, especially during what has been a challenging time for so many people, including those children who are waiting to be adopted, he said; “We are all filled with great pride at ARC Adoption that we have been able to continue to work during the pandemic to find families for those children who are waiting for a family. The hard work and dedication from the team has enabled us to reach this tremendous landmark achievement of placing our 200th child, a little five-year-old girl, with her forever family and being able to do so whilst working safely and adhering to government guidelines. Terry urges those thinking about becoming a parent via adoption to contact ARC Adoption, he added; There are still thousands of children in need of a nurturing and loving family, along with a national shortage of people coming forward to become adopters. We would particularly love to hear from those who would consider adopting brothers and sisters, children over the age of three, children with additional needs and children from different ethnicities.” The team at ARC Adoption are calling for those in the North East who are thinking about becoming parents via adoption to contact the team at ARC Adoption.
