Senior Adoption Practitioner

Jill started her career as a nursery nurse working in early years education before moving to Barnardo's to work with children and families within a family centre setting.

Jill has extensive experience of working within the local authority setting where she was involved with the Registration and Inspection of day care providers before re-training as a Social Worker in 2002. After successfully completing her social work training Jill worked in a child and families team for the local authority and gained extensive experience of working with children in need and their families, often in crisis situations.

In 2004 she moved to the Adoption Service where she worked for 10 years, gaining a reputation for her sensitivity and focus on providing a positive experience for prospective adopters at the start of a new journey in their lives.

Jill moved to ARC Adoption when it was established in April 2014 and has been fundamental to its development and success, she is a highly skilled and respected member of the team.

She enjoys being involved in a creative and forward thinking agency whose mission is to improve life chances of vulnerable children through adoption. Jill is married to Mike and has a Golden Retriever called Frankie.
