Adoption is a way of providing new families for children who cannot be looked after by their birth parents and need to belong to a new family.

The dedicated team from our Therapeutic Adoption Support Service are there to support our families through the journey of adoption, as well as providing ongoing support for life!

in the past 12 months


28 families created, 22 boys and 14 girls are now enjoying a loving and nurturing family.


2,030 children are waiting to be adopted in England, 890 (44%) are part of a brother & sister group.

 1 in 3 

In 2021, 1 in 3 of the adopters approved by ARC were in same sex relationships.
