ARC Adoption's dedicated birth family support team offer an extensive range of support to birth families situated throughout the North East who have been affected by adoption.

The services are provided on behalf of Local Authorities who commission this work from ARC Adoption, these services include;

• Acceptance and understanding of the impact of adoption
• Home visits from an experienced support worker to identify and discuss any on-going support needs
• Group work and peer support with other birth families who have been affected by adoption
• Informal drop in sessions
• Support and encouragement in contributing to a child's life story
• Support with letterbox contact
• The professional birth family support team provide local and independent support, expertise, advice and understanding.
