Big Adoption Day - Wednesday 21st January 2026

ARC Adoption is joining voluntary adoption agencies (VAAs) from across the UK taking part in Big Adoption Day 2026, highlighting the work they do to find loving adoptive families for children waiting to be placed, and the benefits of adopting through a VAA.

Come and meet the ARC Adoption team

ARC Adoption is holding a Big Adoption Day event at our office in Sunderland on Wednesday 21^st  January from 6pm til 8pm. At this event, people can meet some of our team and hear lots of useful information about adopting, see where we run our training and support our families, and meet an adoptive parent who will share their experience of adopting with our help.  

For people unable to make this weekday evening event, the ARC team is also hosting a Saturday event running 10am to 12 noon on 24^th January. 

“We are delighted to join our fellow voluntary adoption agencies on Big Adoption Day. It is a day for celebrating families that have come together through adoption as well as highlighting the ongoing need for more adoptive families for children in our area. Last year we supported 26 new families to adopt who have just spent their first Christmas’ with their children. This year we will again be doing our upmost to reduce the number of children in need of loving families, encouraging people to find out more about adopting and letting them know how we can support them through the process and ongoing, once their family is established.”
