Senior Adoption Support Worker

Lynn has a wealth of experience and knowledge having worked with children and families for over 40 years. Trained as an NNEB nursery nurse she has worked closely with children and families throughout her career offering individual support and group training around alternative parenting strategies.

Lynn is trained in Theraplay informed practice, Level 1 in DDP and holds a professional Diploma in Therapeutic Work with Looked After Children including Therapeutic Life Story Work. Lynn is skilled at developing positive relationships with children who often struggle to manage challenging transitions in their lives and in supporting them to identify, manage and practise strategies to help them to self-regulate.

Working for the local authority, Lynn was at the forefront of developing and leading a team of colleagues to collate and produce high quality life story books for children who have been adopted. When she joined ARC Adoption’s Therapeutic Adoption Support Service in 2016, it was natural that she would play an important role within the digital life story team, supporting the development of our digital life story platform ARCBOX. Today Lynn’s role is multi-facetted as she supports adoptive families and birth families, as well as her work with ARCBOX.

Lynn is married to Brian, is a proud Mam to Elloise and Elliott, and doggy Grandma to Maple.
