Clinical Psychologist

Rob is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Doctor of Clinical Psychology, with over 20 years’ experience in Psychology in the NHS and 15 years in Child Psychology. He has considerable experience working into multidisciplinary CAMHS teams, Multiagency teams, in the voluntary sector and under contract for the local authority.

Since 2008 he has worked as the Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist into the multiagency Looked After Children team in North Tyneside, developing and establishing its clinical psychology service. He is developing the new Virtual Lead for Mental Health of Looked After Children role in North Tyneside. Rob specialises in Adoption and Looked After Children.

Rob has trained extensively following his Doctorate especially in the areas of attachment and trauma, including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy to Level 2, Theraplay and Video Interaction Guidance.

Rob has been with ARC Adoption since 2016, developing and providing services into and supporting the work of the Therapeutic Adoption Support Service (TASS). At ARC Rob provides consultation, assessment, supervision and intervention at all stages of the adoption journey to children adopted through ARC and their families, and to families referred in from external sources.
