Adoption Social Worker - Enquiries Team

Colleen joined the ARC Adoption Enquiries Team in 2024. Her role involves talking to people who are interested in adoption, providing information about adoption and the support available, and helping people to understand if adoption is the right path for them and their family.

Colleen brings a wealth of experience and understanding to her role, being a social worker for over 20 years as well an adoptive parent herself. She has worked in all aspects of children’s social work from residential children’s homes, child protection, long-term permanence planning, leaving care, fostering, and connected care. Passionate about working with cared-for children and securing permanence for them - and admiring the work of ARC – we were delighted that she was able to join and strengthen our team, with her warmth and enthusiasm.

Outside of work Colleen loves being a Mam to her son. She is very much a people person who loves to cook and have friends and family over to enjoy it, loves music and a binge watch of a good drama.
